I was a bit apprehensive of this aquarium because of the reviews, but I was pleasantly surprised that I loved this place!
If you know what time you are going at least 24 hours in advanced, buy your ticket online! Tickets are about $7 cheaper this way and you get to skip the line. I would also purchase them online during the weekend even if you don't get the discount because you get to skip the line (it was outrageously long when we left). I also believe this is the only option that lets you keep going back (I didn't see them stamp anyone else's hands), so it's just the better option in general.
It was really crowded when we went and I think their A/C is broken. It was sweltering inside but I had such a great time that I bared it enough to go through the entire thing twice. This isn't something you should do on a tight time schedule as you typically have to wait a few minutes for people to stop crowding whatever you want to see. My boyfriend and I don't have any kids, so we patiently waited in the back of the crowds so the families could see what they wanted to see first.
There are a few little view points that you can stick your head in that are mostly geared towards kids (they're a bit too short for me to feel comfortable getting into), and they're very scratched up. If there is a way for them to clean and fix those, I think it would be wonderful spot for photos and videos to remember your experience.
Take the pictures at the front if it seems like something you may want. They're 2 for $16 which I think is pretty expensive for green-screen photo's. BUT there are great locations for photos in the aquarium if you feel comfortable handing someone your camera. I think these are so much better than the green-screen photo's that they offer.
