  • Currently without a physical location, Hex is a craft coffee business wth a focus on pour-over coffee, cold brew, coffee cocktails, and waffles made with locally-sourced and seasonal beer from area breweries. 3 friends with a background in the coffee biz join forces to create a pop-up store in a local business on a few Saturdays a month. With little advertising other than social media, these guys are like a covert coffee club that has built quite a following. If you find them. do join in for a breakfast treat on multiple fronts. The menu is pretty simple: coffee in a couple of forms- hot pour-over, cold brew, or a seasonal cocktail highlighting a locally-sourced ingredient or 2, and then a waffle made fresh in front of you, using a beer batter with local craft beer and usually topped with the fruit or syrup reminiscent of the current season. The coffee in any form has always been excellent and the cocktails are a unique twist that should not be missed when offered. The waffles, though, are outrageously good- whether pumpkin, peach, or apple laced in both the batter and/or the syrup just to tie it all together. So place your order, and pull up a chair with local friends in the coffee-know. It may be a bit before you get your order since everything is made on the spot and in the smallest of batches, but it's worth the wait and usually a good time to catch up or make a new friend while checking out a local business you may not have seen before. Should you find out about a pop up, make a point to go. Breakfast is served and it is as good as can be.
