Throughout my 8 years of yoga practice, I have learned never to judge a studio by it's cover and such is the case for this location in Meadowvale. On the outside it is very unassuming, one might even drive by it without noticing since it is tucked away in a little plaza off of Mississauga Road. However, once you step inside, the staff are friendly and the instructors are good.
Here's what to expect if you decide to be "inspired":
-All classes are HOT classes and the room gets HOT. Be prepared to sweat.
-Arrive early to get a spot as the room is small and it fills up quickly.
-There is a great intro package for first timers; $25 for 2 weeks.
-Be careful when changing in the women's changeroom. A light linen curtain acts as the door and one can easily see into the front area so be sure to get changed behind the wall.
-No lockers in the changerooms, only cubbies so don't take any valuables with you.
-The instructors seem well trained and always ask if you have any injuries, always important when beginning class.
-Don't forget to bring your own towel! They charge $2 and you will definitely need one.
This studio does not have all the bells and whistles that some other studios offer but I was happy to find a place to practice yoga in North Missisauga with nice instructors and decent class options.
