  • When I pick a neighborhood to live in there are a few things I need: a local bar, a place to get pizza, a laundromat, public transit, and a coffee shop. Brew on Broadway is my local coffee shop. This place is really unique as it is a community owned business, their main focus is neighborhood revitalization. The hold live music in the summer, game nights, and other various events including art shows. The space is bright and open, lots of smaller tables to belly up to and work on whatever has your attention. Maybe one of my favorite things about Brew is the leave your own mug shelf. The collection of mugs is beautiful look at and the idea of reuse instead of throw away cups is smart! The drinks are delicious and even better is they are now serving food there as well. My only complaint is the hours, I like my coffee shops open at 5am and open till 11pm. I realize those types of places are few and far between. They do close really early though even in the summer. When you're in Beechview for tacos stop over and relax at Brew.
