We love Sprouts, we really do. But today we had a pretty poor experience. We were doing our usually weekly shopping and notice that asparagus was on sale for $1.98 a pound (normally $4 a pound). We were planning on grilling later in the week so we thought it would be a good addition. Up at the cash register it rang up at $4 a pound. We asked the clerk, who did a price check. The produce department said they forgot to take the sign down (admitting that yes, they were advertising that asparagus was $1.98), so the price was actually $4 a pound and they were not going to honor the price they were advertising in the store.
We were only buying one pound, so the cost was only $2, but we had only decided to buy it because it was on sale. Good management would honor the price. It's really the principle here, the money isn't a big deal, but the fact they aren't willing to honor the the price they are advertising is pretty disappointing.
I wavered between two and three stars for this review, but the fact that we love so much else about Sprouts earned the extra star. Better management, and they would get five stars every time.
