Rude store manager or (managers?!?) As soon as I walked in, the first sales associate that I spoke to called to Dustin and said "ugh it's a return" and rolled his eyes. Thank you Dustin, I will never shop at Kay ever again. He refused my return from another store saying that there could be a possibility these weren't the right earrings. When I pointed out the return policy he said "I say no because I'm the store manager." I had been running around all day and had my infant and toddler in tow, I guess with my messy bun, makeup less face and yoga pants (ummm hello they were luluemon ones) I didn't fit in with the Snottsdale fashionistas. (Can anyone say discrimination) Biggest insult ever. What kind of store manager says to a customer no sorry, you might be a criminal? Also you may want to speak a little more clearly when I called to ask your name you were mumbling on purpose so I couldn't hear you. Two mins later I received a call back asking if I called them. I said yes I called to ask the store managers name. She said its Shauna. I said well he said it is Dustin. There was another woman there who didn't even take notice of the return and tried to sell my husband something and when he said he was with me, retreated to the back. I even tried to get her eye contact but nada.... Great "manager" if she even is one.
I'll stick to Shane Co. where we bought my wedding ring.
Update: went to another store, they happily accepted my return and they were appalled at how unprofessional my experience at the Scottsdale location was and even recommended that I call the 800 number. They apologized and said that is not how Kay Jewelers treat their customers.
