  • I recently received an unsolicited email from Karls Technology suggesting that I schedule quarterly maintenance for my PC. I originally contacted Karls Technology in April 2015 to work on my PC and the experience was not a pleasant one to say the least. When I spoke to Matt Karls at the time I made the appointment, he assured me that he would be sending out a certified IT engineer, not just a technician. When Riley showed up to my house to work on my PC, I quizzed him on his certifications and qualifications. To my surprise, he had no certifications and no formal training. I feel that Matt Karls was deceptive when he assured me that his field personnel were ALL certified IT engineers. Not only do I feel that his prices were exorbitant for an untrained technician, but my PC did not seem to be any faster after the work was completed. Now Karls Technology is asking me to spend $125 per quarter for routine maintenance on my PC. This, to me, is absurd as I could almost replace my PC every year for the $500 he is charging for routine maintenance. Why on earth would he send an email asking me to schedule maintenance at the normal rate? One would hope that there would be a discount for a returning customer that was going to use Matt every quarter? Seems like Matt Karls is just out to make a quick buck.
