  • This is my go-to theater when I want to experience a movie. I am a huge movie buff with a personal collection creeping up in to the thousands. When there is a must-see movie that is sporting high quality visuals and sound, this is the theater in Northeast Ohio to see it in. Cinemark offers their XD experience complete with a wall to wall, ceiling to floor screen, big plushy leather (or leather-close) seats and fold up arm rests (seriously, some theaters still don't do this). And it is always clean. 3D and 2D digital projectors round out the experience with a crystal clear picture. The sound system is a custom JBL set-up. I don't know the tech specs but you can probably find them online somewhere. Ever had that moment when you are in the theater and you can hear the rumbling from the movie in the room next to you and think to yourself, "Damn, what the hell is going on over there?" Yeah that's us in XD. Cinemark offers midnight showings for us nerds too, but beware, it can get real packed real fast. The other non XD halls are your standard fair, ranging from the midsize hall to the small intimate showings. I give it a 4 instead of the 5 because the concession stand can be dreadfully slow. They ALWAYS seem to be understaffed. They have 5-6 registers and usually only 2-3 of them are open at any given time. I have been there for midnight shows and early morning shows and prime time showings for new movies (7-9pm range) and it always seems to be understaffed. So get there with enough time to get your snacks and get into the movie on time. Oh and they can scan your movie ticket if you are using Fandango + Passbook on your iPhone/mobile device which is a nice touch. Go here for your optimal movie experience.
