  • I was in the market for a TV to add to the household and wanted something different. I stopped at Best Buy, Sears and checked out deals on TVs from a few other stores online in addition to my stop at HH Gregg and their prices seemed to be compatible or better than the prices at other retailers. Upon entering the store, I was greeted by a sales person who was very nice and knowledgeable on the various TV models and options available. He answered my questions and then let me be to peruse the selection. The store was clean and I noticed they had a little but of everything for your household and beyond. They had a good selection of markdowns which showed the percentage off and I saw some really great deals. For example, they had a sound bar at 60% off with some pretty good tech reviews online. I left after my first visit to have dinner and decide on which TV I wanted. Upon my return to the store, I was greeted by the textbook salesman who wants to make everyone think they know the answer to every question, until you ask them a question. I asked about Web OS...he didn't know. I asked about the imbedded apps...he guessed. I asked to see the specs on the TV or a book...he said he didn't have. I asked to see the box of the TV...he said it wouldn't give me any info. My facial expression along with my frustrated attempts to get specs on the TV finally prompted him to offer to show me the spec sheet they have on the computer. After I told him I wanted the TV, he returned with the TV and the Ultra 4K HDMI cable and decided to quiz me by asking, "Now what is this for" and "Why do you need a different one for this TV"? Instead of trying to be a teacher, he should simply ask customers what they need and make suggestions. While I didn't really care for this last rep I dealt with, I purchased my TV, went home, hooked it up and ended my evening enjoying some Ultra HD movies.
