I had selected a standard size SUV (listed on the website as an Infinity QX60 or similar) and was given a much smaller Jeep Wrangler. Still charged for the standard size car, even though it was obviously a totally different category. It was 2:30am and very dark outside, so I did not see the extent of the crack until I was on the highway.
What made the matter worse was that the agent asked me where I was driving and I stated quite clearly that we would be traveling in the country for over 6 hours of driving. They gave us a car that had a cracked windshield from one side of the glass to the other. The full length of the windshield, with multiple cracks in the middle of the windscreen.
This car should NEVER have been rented out to the public. Very dangerous.
I returned the car in the morning, as it was far too dangerous to drive any distance, and certainly not in the country.
Still have not heard back from the rental agency.
