I have been the Scarpetta in New York City about 4 times. And each time I go, I have to get (at least for an app) the exact same thing. I cannot recommend the spaghetti marinara strongly enough. The rest of the food we ordered was great-- but this is just the perfect bowl of pasta.
Having said that-- the NYC restaurant had superior service. They were busy, but it seemed like our waiter, who had our table first, had about 5 other tables sit down at the exact same time after us-- so our service was quite slow. (although, still very friendly). I think that is way more the problem of management to sit 5 tables in one waiters section all at once. I felt like it took at least 20 minutes to flag down the waiter to get our check delivered to us.
Again-- food was great, service was slow because it was so crowded... they should do something to rectify that situation.
