rev:text	Wow! I have been avoiding this place like the plague due to such negative reviews. I am new to the neighborhood and Charlie's is a 2 minute walk, so reading these reviews was terrible news for me. I have tried several nail salons in the area, and they all have their good and bad. Today, I had a day off, and I stopped into a few of the nail spots in the area to check them out and finally choose my permanent home. The vibe wasn't great in any of the 4 places I went. Wasn't greeted and so forth. I was running out of time, and I needed my nails done...I did it! I walked into Charlie's and was immediately warmly greeted. I am a hair salon owner for multiple decades and am under the same State Board as these nail salons. When I read about the sanitation at Charlie's that was concerning to me, however, I chose to try it out anyway, because it would take me moments to know if they were not using proper protocol in sanitation. What a nice surprise...they were above and beyond with their sanitation. Place was spotless, and techs when not busy were cleaning and preparing for next clients. The nail stations and chairs are a bit older, but very comfy. The pedicure chairs were high end state of the art. My tech "Anna" was extremely efficient and probably gave me the best gel manicure I've ever had. Just beautiful! When she was done with the manicure part, I almost didn't have her put the gel on, they looked so amazing. I'm assuming that there is new owner or new management since I did not witness anything at all that these reviews reflect. Pros: Service was fantastic (looked as though other patrons were happy too), price is very reasonable, especially for the area, fun 70's and 80's music on the radio, nice cool airconditioning...very comfortable. Cons: It is hard to see what colors they had for gel. Not like other salons where you have plastic pallet with the colors on them...they literally have the gel bottles which have a 1/16th " of an inch dot on them to see the color. I did not get a color that I normally would have chosen...but not a deal breaker, I'll know to take time, orrrrr they will come up with a solution to this issue. 5 stars, cuz the important things to me were in place. I will be back for pedicure soon
