  • Apparently getting a Smart Car's emissions tested at Canadian Tire is a Sisyphean task, but you can get it done here without any problem. I've been coming here for four years now, ever since my Smart started requiring emissions tests, and they've never given me any problems. They are always quick and efficient. The chairs are, admittedly, not terribly comfortable, and because my birthday is in January I'm always there at the coldest time of the year so going for a walk is just asking for frostbite. There's a husky station across the parking lot, if you want gas station coffee or a bag of chips. But you can just sit down and read a book or poke on your smartphone for a few minutes while your car is tested. I go there every year, and I've yet to have a problem. If you need a diesel tested (or especially a Smart) this is the place to go.
