  • I went in to remove acrylic nails and regretted it in the first 5 minutes when I saw how the tools are stored. The nail clippers had some sort of gunk on them (looked like dried crusty yogurt) and the towel on the table had bits of other people's nails on it. When the lady was buffing my nails she didn't buff the left side of any of my nails. So much for being thorough and detailed. It's almost like she was going through the motions, the way someone turns an invisible steering wheel to pretend they're driving. It was disappointing because I knew then that she wasn't going to do a good job. She kept trying to shove a metropass card under the acrylic nails when the acrylic clearly wasn't fully dissolved yet, so that really hurt. Every salon uses orange wood sticks for this which costs pennies, yet this place uses a metro pass card from 2011. My guess is that they likely use it on all their customers. Gross. As time went on and my nails weren't coming off yet, she was clearly getting impatient because she got more and more rough. I should have walked out right there, but instead I sat there and endured her scraping at my nail surface (MY nails now) with a REALLY coarse filer, leaving all kinds of unsightly scratches. On one nail, I think she buffed away most of my nail layers because it really hurts now. I decided to be polite and let her finish but when she declared she was done... I was shocked. My nails looked horrible. All of them were scratched up like crazy and most of them still had bits of acrylic on the sides! I couldn't believe it. I really could have done a better job at home. When I said something, she was really rude. I asked for a discount and showed her the nails (as if she didn't know) and she said she will fix it because the will not give a discount. Then she got even more rough with that super course filer and Metropass and I just had to stop her. I paid, walked out, got home and spent 30 minutes fixing it all myself before coming on here to post this review to warn others. Avoid this place. You may save a few bucks, but considering the quality, you could probably do a better job at home. Plus, it's not going to look that great and they will damage your nails.
