  • want to make it clear that this review is based on two things. the food; and what I feel is arguably just as important if not more; proper billing/customer service. let me start off with saying that the food is great. I had the duck/foie gras ravioli and my wife had the New York strip steak, absolutely no complaints and the service while IN the restaurant was solid. Paid the bill with a card (lets say it was for $200.51) and went home to the kids. This was on 2/27... a couple of days later I viewed by bank transactions and I see that on 2/28 I was charged 2 additional times for equal amounts (let's say they were both for $140.51). I liked the food but I didn't like it that much to go 3 times within one weekend. we're a middle class family who doesn't have that kind of income to justify that kind of spending. so naturally I called my bank to dispute the charges and I called the restaurant since apparently they have to be on the phone to corroborate my story and fix the problem. Since the restaurant is closed in the daytime I elected to leave a vm. A few hours later I did receive a return call from someone who seemed genuinely apologetic and she said that the night manager would have to be the one who can truly solve the issue. she asked if I could be patient and wait a few hours until they can get back to me....this was on 2/29 Today is 3/9, it's now been a week and two days later and I'm still waiting for that night manager to call. I left a second voicemail today on the same line and my family is short roughly $280 in our checking acct. so I had to call my bank again and explain how I still haven't gotten a call back and they did tell me that once my monthly transactions clear I should be able to dispute the charges and possibly get my money back next month. if you're looking to go out for a nice dinner with your spouse/significant other I would think twice before going to a restaurant whose service level goes down to 0 once they have your money
