Cox is guaranteed to take your money but won't guaranty up-time. I work from home and my modem loses sync with their system once a day, guaranteed and occasionally 2 to 3 times in a day. Sometimes I have to call tech support and I have to suffer through the automated system which requires responses to its questions before transferring me to a human. The tech people I talk to are nice but never have a solution to the problem other than resetting my modem. Really?
Speed is also an issue. I'm not a huge fan of more government regulation, but, wouldn't it be interesting if the dept. of weights and measures made sure you got your 20 Mbps if that's what you are paying for? It would certainly reduce the amount of throttling that occurs today.
