It was unexpectedly disappointing from a large organization like UNLV. I rented an eight person tent and opened it at the campsite only to realize it was damaged.
The tent had holes in it and the poles were extremely bent. So much so that my group had to sleep in the car as we were camping at the Tuweep Campground.
Upon returning the equipment and explaining UNLV the situation, I was hoping for a positive response. Instead UNLV charged me $400 and tried to intimidate me by mentioning that they would blacklist me and report me to the collection agency.
The manager was rude and, to try and put the blame on us, she said the damage was done during transportation. That reason is a bit strange considering that we traveled in an Infiniti QX 80, not on a Horse Cart.
