This is a location that hosts a lot of conferences and as such, the rates are quite high compared to what you actually get. It is not a bad hotel; it's simply overpriced.
Pros:
- View from most rooms is nice
- Location is good
- Most of staff is kind and helpful
- Cute lavender aromatherapy roller provided to help with sleep
- Lots of common areas to meet and mingle with coworkers/friends
Cons:
- They seem to enroll EVERYONE in their "eco" program which translates to ZERO housekeeping. I did not opt in and they never corrected the error.. and yet on my last day, housekeeping was at my door five hours before check out.
- Wifi is not free
- A/C blows in poor quality air and does so loudly
- Mattress was very saggy. I was jarred awake by a drooping mattress nightly. Pillows are also very thin. Not a great sleep.
- Shower has no safety bar, no shower hose, no mat
- Breakfast menu is very limited
- No mini fridge or stocked water
- No safe
- No closet
- Attached spa seems to have arbitrary staffing; I tried to book a hair service and was told no one would be working until after 4pm.
- Very thin walls and very loud neighbors :-/
And in general, I would say their restaurants, room service and bar are hit or miss. I would especially warn people to avoid their bar's interpretation of sangria (which is a weird ginger beer concoction). This is very much a hotel geared towards people who are only in town for work and lack the time and energy to seek better dining options elsewhere.
