  • I've basically grown up in Pat Catans. From finger painting with my grandma to science fair, knitting, embroidery, calligraphy and beyond, Pat Catans is my go-to craft store. They have a great selection of just about anything you can think of. When I go in there, I'm usually tied up in yarn or picking out a new pen to add to my collection. I can see how it might be overwhelming for people who haven't memorized the store's layout. I've found that the employees are pretty good when you're looking for something specific in the store, but don't expect them to have a mastery of every hobby in there (that's a bit much to ask in my opinion). When I decide to tackle something new, I usually make sure to do a bit of research online so I know what I want. Also, when you're in-store, make sure to sign up for their Catan's Club! It knocks down the price on pretty much everything and joining is free! My college-student budget salutes them.
