Every time I come to visit my parents we plan several hikes at Usery Mountain park. It really does have a little bit for everyone. I love how many trails it has to offer ranging in length and difficulty so you can go as hard or easy as you want. Maps are available and the trails are clearly marked along the course. The bathrooms have always been very clean and stocked. The staff and park rangers are extremely helpful and friendly. I have not personally biked the trails but there are always many people out there on their mountain bikes enjoying the terrain. The trails are wide enough to allow the cyclists to pass while I continue on the path in most areas.
Blevins trail is a good starter trail, beautiful views of the desert and mountains without too much up or down. It is about 3 miles. I also like to add moon rock and/or cats peak trail to see a little more. With all 3 you get just over 5mi of hiking. Cats peak trail is a hike up but not difficult and is very safe. If you are feeling adventurous you can take the pass mountain trail off cats peak trail and that is a hike up the mountain.
If you enjoy hiking or want to try it for the first time this is the place for you. It truly does have a little bit for everyone.
