This place is really more like 3.5 stars for me, but I've rounded up.
I decided to come here based on the solid four star Yelp reviews. When I first walked in, I noticed how beautiful the old brick building was and how it was a spacious loft with a second floor.
Really the building and the interior design is a full 5 stars--especially the upstairs area where there is cool art and some tables and chairs. I was able to grab a table for two upstairs that was right by an outlet and log-on to the free Wi-Fi (available for the entire Distillery District).
However, I also noticed that the barista who took my order was not the friendliest, but was also not downright rude either. I just didn't get a super welcoming feeling if you know what I mean.
The crowd that was here when I came was really mixed, but it felt like there were many other people like me who were from out of town. Don't think I saw many locals hanging out, but I could be wrong.
I ordered the Toasted Almond Mocha which was made with almond milk. The barista told me that it only came in a medium and larger, which I thought was rather odd, but I ordered it anyways. It actually tasted quite good and was served in a bowl.
I would say give this place a shot if you are looking to rest your feet while in the Distillery District, but don't go out of your way to try to seek this place out.
