Went to meet up with someone in Montreal and they suggested Dieu du Ciel, proposing it as the best microbrewery in Montreal. OK, let's check it out then!
Got there - it was a little bit hard to find as the GPS brought us in from the side and there were no signs. Thought our GPS was giving us bad advice - and finally realized we were parked literally beside it. You need to get to the front to verify you have arrived. :-)
Nice looking very busy patio on a gorgeous sunny afternoon. We headed inside where it was a bit cooler. Very busy - but not quite full - inside as well. We managed to find a table for 3 and turned it into a table for 4. Furniture is very utilitarian and what you might expect for a brew pub with lots of students coming and going. A few tables had people working away at laptops.
Menu was concise but wonderful. We did the charcuterie option, everything was delicious. Great selection of beers - the hoppier bier I tried was delicious - and the taste I had of my husbands was also fantastic. Sorry, don't remember which ones we tried.
Would I return: Yes
Would I recommend: Yes - if you love trying different beers, and you are in Montreal, this is a great stop.
