I really like the idea of Whole Foods so I go out of my way to check out various locations as time permits. This one underwhelmed me. The selection at the meat counter was sad and the staff wouldn't leave me alone for two seconds to browse the case even after I'd advised them I didn't need any help yet. They didn't have unsweetened coconut dream which is a staple. I feel like it looks more "standard supermarket" than the Avenue Rd. location which gives me the illusion I'm shopping somewhere "fancy" - I think it's the lighting. On the positive side, the salad bar and hot bar were very tasty. Mac and cheese was among the best in my Whole Foods travels. There were big meaty chunks of tofu I haven't seen elsewhere. There was also a smokey turkey that made me consider going back for seconds. I love the location being right on the subway line but it wasn't great enough to warrant going out of my way to shop the location again.
