| - Pablo's is one of those neighborhood barbershops where everyone knows anyone and conversations come quick and easy. Only speaking for the guys' end of offered services (i.e. I hadn't seen girls getting their hair/nails done during my cut), the all-male crew is solid. Whatever your hair type/texture and however its condition is, each of the guys -- every one of them -- is extremely proficient and has mastered a very wide range of cuts, fades, trims, etc.
Upon entrance, they'll ask if you'd made an appointment. If you didn't, no worries... especially on Tue/Wed/Thu... there's enough hands on deck to keep wait times short. But I'd RSVP on the weekend if that's your only option because their parking situation is limited and the shop becomes a full house, even with every station up and running.
What I appreciate most about Pablo's is that they don't feel the need to over-package themselves with nonsense (e.g. 60-inch TVs every other inch, cocktail bars & hors d'oeuvre service, complex price breakdowns of products, etc.)... only to then expect you to dish $50. Rather, it's simple, old-school barbershop with loud music, talk, and laughs.
If you're new to the Queen City and haven't yet vibed with a shop or received a truly accurate/consistent/satisfying cut, check these boys out. During my 45 minutes, I also saw fellow Latino/Hispanic, black, Middle Eastern, and Asian brothers getting lit cuts. You won't be disappointed.
