| - I went to this club for the NYE party with a group of friends. We had booked a table and bottle service that night. Well we ended up with the WORST NYE EXPERIENCE EVER! It was horrible to say the least, and I'll never step foot in this place ever again.
We spent close to $1000 for "VIP Treatment", but our experience was anything but... here's all that the club did wrong:
* The bouncers were rude and as the night progressed, kicked out several members of our group claiming they were drunk. We were understandably tipsy (I don't know what club expects patrons to be stone cold sober after ordering bottle service) - but we were well behaved, and all of us were dancing with each other within our "VIP area". I don't know how this qualified as grounds to have us kicked out of the club. By 1 a.m only 3 out of 10 us remained in the club.
* In the rush to regroup, I forgot to pick up my credit card & drivers license from the server. I assumed it would be safe at the club since this is a common occurrence at clubs, but upon calling several times, and finally getting in touch with the manager and driving down to the club, he told me that I was mistaken and too drunk to remember taking my CC & license with me that night.
* My CC was charged at the club after me and my friends had left the club, and at some other nearby store, which I pointed out to the manager.
* He calls back in a few days, and tells me the server gave my credit card to one of my friends (whom she supposedly contacted by phone the next day). First of all, even if that were true - that's bad practice in general - why would you give someones credit card to anyone else and further more let them sign off on the charges? Secondly that was obviously a lie, since we all left at the same time - and the friend the server claimed to have contacted/given my stuff to had lost his phone when leaving the club that night.
I've read similar reviews about bouncers kicking out customers for no reason - rockwood might want to stop overcrowding the club and then picking random people to kick out after they've paid the cover charge. (The club was shut down after NYE for a few weeks because of overcrowding, use of controlled substances in the premises etc.)
I had to cancel my credit card & get a new license, which is annoying, but what's even worse is that the management didn't even apologise. Instead they tried to blame me saying that I was probably drunk.
Upon googling reviews on this club, I regret not having researched it before. I'm surprised that this club is still open! Take my advice and avoid this club like a plague! Spend your hard earned money where you'll be taken care of and not abused!
