| - I am an African American with natural hair, and I went to Lando and asked if they do black hair. One lady there said yes, and that she's quite good at doing natural hair, so I told her I wanted a curly hairstyle. She washes my hair and everything seems alright, until she actually goes to style it; she didn't really know how to detangle my hair at all, I even had to show her how I do it at home. While she was not stingy about applying lots of expensive product on my hair, it didn't really help much, as my hair was a tangled, frizzy mess when she was finished! I asked why it looked like this and she told me, "that's how it's supposed to look". I know for a fact that the end result is not supposed to look this way, as I've done it numerous times on my own at home! I felt cheated as I paid, and wanted to get home as quickly as possible so that I could re-fix my hair. While they were very friendly to me at Lando, I think their expertise in black hair is lacking considerably and that customers should be told that before they sit down to get their hair done.
