Where do we start ? Another hot find in the Charlotte area. The Queen City is full of these hidden gems. We were initial almost discourage with the huge line outside but this was even more of a reason to give it a try (long line, must be good).
We were greet in a timely manner by nice gentleman. We waited roughly 15 to maybe 20 mins but boy wasn't the wait worth it.
Let's dive into the grub aka food (overall delicious). I ordered the southern scramble that consisted of all the mouth watering southern food (collard, applewood bacon, grits). The eggs were hands down amazing (fluffy, light and creamy). The collards and the bacon were a perfect match. The only thing that I would change were the onions that were a bit raw. However, this is not the best part yet!!
The grits!! (Creamy, buttery, smooth, and just simply mouth watering). The real MVP of this place were the grits.
The biscuits were good but really didn't see what all the hype was to be honest. They were a bit in the dry side but still good. Not taking anything away from this place.
(Maybe I was just blown away by the grits.)!!
Oh, let's not forget my wife food was amazing from what I gather from her empty plates. My wife ordered the meggixcan wrap which she loved.
The service was good, Claudia was quick and attentive. She was pretty busy but go figure right ? Amazing food equals busy place
Loved it.
