| - Kawa has an amazing London Fog. It tastes like London Fog cake in a pretty white mug, delicious.
Unfortunately, as good as the London Fog (and little biscottis and lattes) are, Kawa lacks heavily in the food department.
In the times I have eaten there, the ingredients have been less than fresh or the overall taste has been bland. The flatbreads come on a pre-made, frozen pizza crust a la Safeway, the soups have been bland overall and the panini crusts are overdone. I fear that if I ordered bacon, it would be microwaved. This is disappointing since it's around $40 for two people to eat lunch at Kawa; $40 is a touch on the high side for a coffee joint IMHO.
Kawa is good at drinks and nibbles, coffees, lattes, London Fogs, teas, biscottis, little shortbread cookies, cakes and the like; so stick to the liquids and skip the lunch and you'll enjoy Kawa Espresso Bar.
