  • This is an excellent place to go for all of your hiking/backpacking needs. I have got a couple of daypacks (Osprey and Gregory) from here and both are wonderfully made. The staff are always friendly, helpful and funny. Also, if you are looking for ultra light and/or compact items..they have many to choose from. Spend the $20 and become a life time member. You only pay $20 once and you receive 10% back at the end of the year....and then you get to treat yourself to something when you get your divedined. There are also additional benefits for REI credit card members. I believe you get additional 5% back on the net REI purchases and 1% back on non REI purchases. Compared to other outdoor stores..their prices are very reasonable.
