  • I visited the Henderson location on Saturday November 7, to look at window products and pick up some pest control items for my rental. Not seeing any associates in the window area that early in the morning, I planned on returning later in the day. While paying for my purchase at the self-checkout, the pin pad did not appear to be working. I noticed a female associate standing within 5 feet of me and asked if the pad was working, she yelled over, "Do you have a chip credit card", after reviewing the card, I acknowledged it was a chip card. She yells back over, "You have to put the card in and leave it". Not understanding what she was saying, I asked if she could show me. The associate would not take two seconds to approach the pin pad, while chewing on either food product or a big piece of gum, she yells back over "Look underneath". I could not believe the lack of service. I thought this associate had been stationed at the front registers to assist customers. (I believe her name was Erin) Because of her non customer service demeanor, I asked to speak with a manager; she again standing in the same position, points to a set of registers and says he is over there. When I walk over to speak with the manager, I am greeted by a young man (Cashier) he indicates he will call the manager for me. I was than informed the manager was busy unloading a truck, the cashier asked if I could speak with another manager, I don't remember the name of the female manager that he called , instead of meeting me to discuss my concerns, the manager asked the hourly associate to ask me what I wanted. In disbelief, I left the store mentioning I would just contact the corporate office. Because of the poor service I received, I visited Home Depot and spent $ 8,975.71 on window coverings.
