  • I would have canceled my reservation if I could once seeing the hour + wait to pick up the car. Vehicle and tax were pre-paid though Hotwire and afterwards Advantage charged me $189, citing the car had an empty tank + $62 in taxes. Not only was the vehicle full when it was returned but I had only driven 109 miles total using a 30+ mpg vehicle. Now I'm wasting more of my time with the claims process. After looking in here this seems to be a common issue. Either someone is trying to boost their numbers or their system is horribly faulty.
