My dog was bitten while at a doggie day care and the day care took her here for medical treatment. The facility is nice and pretty new, but the service was horrible. Poor communication regarding medical conditions and the wait times are horrible. I had to wait 20+ minutes just to pick up my dog, was given the medication bag but no real directions. The Vet never spoke to me!
Then my 2nd experience was boarding my dog in the hospital unit because we were moving that weekend. I thought this will be good, she's boarded in the hospital wing with 24/7 vet nurse on staff. Well, I had to wait about 30 minutes just to drop her off, my wife waited 40 minutes to pick her up and it doesn't seem like the hospital boarding does potty breaks outside of the crate/kennel - as soon as my wife got our dog out she had to poop TWO times outside of the hospital and pee a few times. When my wife asked the rep (not a medical staff) who brought our dog to her after the 40 min wait, the rep couldn't answer my wife's question as to whether her meds were given already? When do we come back to remove the stitches, etc.
I just feel strongly from my two experiences that Long Animal Hospital is (1) too big (2) understaffed (3) poor communicators and (4) don't care about their patients and families.
