| - should have visited this page prior to my came-back visit to Robuchon, as one of other reviewers has pointed out that the food here is not worthy of the money any more. Typical dinner here of two would cost about 1000usd or more if you decide to try the chefs tasting menu. This was an experience that I was excited for. Two years ago, their chefs tasting menu was consisted of truffle, fois gras, scallops and uni.
But now, these ingredients have been replaced with "one egg", mushrooms, and pork dumpling for the socalled "seasonal" reasons, even though one other chef that we have visited called now "a perfect season for uni" due to the sweetness and creamy flavors. The Robuchon at MGM here is basically cheaping its dinner ingredients, but still charging over 450 per person for the chefs tasting menu.
They also used to have one entire steak with fois gras served per table. Now you would also have to ask to get another slice of your steak.
For ppl that have come here for the first time, the dining experience may still be unique with the fancy decoration and high class service in the restaurants. However, dining experience at such price is also about what you are served at the dinner. The taste is not something that can be replaced with fancy chandelier, pretty plating or suit-up servers.
I have no intention of recommending or ever coming back to this restaurant from my most recent dining experience at Robuchon.
