  • Horrible experience today. Was taken by friends for my birthday, because they wanted to take me go karting. We saw online the $30 4 hour value pass, for unlimited karting, mini golf, laser tag and climbing wall. We got there at 11:30am. We bought our 4 hour passes, and immediately after payment, were told go karts would open until 4-5pm. We feel we should have been told this prior to purchase. We decided not to make a big deal of it, and enjoyed some laser tag and mini golf. The day was going well. Afterwards, we decided we wanted to play the arcade games. We purchased a $100 arcade card, which comes with a bonus $70 credit. They split the balance onto four separate cards for us. We had two particular prizes in mind, one for 3000 tickets, one for 4000. When you swipe your game card, it tells you how much credit you have left and how many tickets you have earned. We kept track of our tickets, and at the end, we went to combine the points on one card since we were told we can do that. We knew specifically that one of our guys hit a couple bonus points/jackpots, and has around 2200 tickets. One other had 740ish. Another had 450ish. I had 286. When we took our cards up to combine points, the lafy at the arcade asked if it was OK to go to the co outer in the back because it was easier with multiple cards. Upon returning she told us after combining tickets that we had 2935. We knew for a fact we had over 3000. We asked if maybe she missed one of the cards and were told (quite rudely) that she double checked them when she did it and this is what we had, end of story. We came out of Shakers upset at lack of communication and feeling like we were essentially robbed. Most parents and little kids would not be paying as close attention to the tickets as we were, and wouldn't notice if some were skimmed off the top. The arcade issue as well as not informing us of no karting until after we paid upset us greatly. It shows what kind of business this is. When combining our arcade cards, passes, and beverages we purchased the four of us spent around $250 and felt extremely cheated. We will never go back and will warn all of our family and friends not to go here either.
