  • I'm so glad Pittsburgh finally has a Buffalo Exchange! There are several wonderful locally owned vintage and used clothing stores already in the city (and I'll happily continue to support them!) but Buffalo Exchange is a staple worth having in any location. The selection is superb, and the prices tend to be really reasonable. This one is also located on the south side, so it's not directly competing for foot traffic with the likes of Clothes Minded, Eons, and Avalon Exchange. I planned an excursion here with a friend recently to check this location out for myself. Everything was beautifully organized, which I appreciated since the space was a bit smaller than I'd seen in other locations throughout the country. There were lots of hats and dresses in particular, and I wound up finding a ton of fun things to try on. The two staff members were super chatty and helpful and brought multiple items up front for me so I didn't have to lug everything around while shopping. I ended up leaving with an adorable sweater and plans to come back again very soon. As a bonus they also make a 5-cent donation to the charity of your choice in lieu of offering you a shopping bag...I'm all for giving rather than creating more waste with shopping bags I don't need. Way to go!
