| - I'm sorry, I wanted to give it more. I live in Scottsdale, this is a resort area (spring training field Talking Stick, etc) & an aquarium in the desert...let's check it out.
First, the customer service is GREAT. Let's start there. We went on a busy day & for that I recommend that you absolutely buy tickets online.
Again, the employees are trained to be upbeat & knowledgeable - and they were.
Second, it seems there's a great choice of eateries & shops. Also awesome. If you're a foodie, into healthy eating or hate crowds - eat beforehand or bring snacks.
Third, exhibits. Listen folks we're in the desert we can't bring 15 foot sharks here. So don't expect the biggest & baddest. HOWEVER, if you happened to fall into a tank I guarantee what they do have would chomp the crap out of you. Piranha's, sharks, toothy sea lions, or dolphins who "just wanna play".
I'd say my biggest issue with this place is how busy it is (cue OdySea reps clapping in unison)...when there's a large crowd I just want to flee, not take my turn, meander, take time, & view. If it had been a quiet day I would've been more likely to take my time & enjoy. As it was, I'd look, see, run. We actually missed a lot of things because of this.
The BEST PART of the whole visit was the Carousel Aquarium. We don't like crowds, we like to see. So, you sit in a stadium seating amphitheater (of sorts) and they "rotate" you to animals & information. Pretty cool.
Please go and form your own opinions, and please research ahead of time. I feel the admission was too high. If they cut it down by $10 per person I feel it would be more fair.
