No bed bugs. I know a few former reviews had experienced this but I did a thorough check and can safely report that the room was upgraded, clean and bug free so I'm assuming the issue was addressed.
The linens were crisp and clean, the beds and pillows are comfortable (you get a feather pillow and fuller pillow option) and the bathrooms were very clean.
I didn't get to the pool because this is a VERY kid friendly hotel so unless your in the mood for that kind of company, you might want to avoid that area on a busy weekend, like Spring Break.
I enjoyed a quiet breakfast outside at The Indigo Bistro and aside from the pigeons fluttering around, was relatively relaxed. Better than expected food options and fast service. Unless you have a voucher you will need to pay for this meal but if you go up to the 8th floor (I think) they have complimentary breakfast. I wanted to be outdoors so I opted to pay for mine. Worth it.
Only "issue" is the location. While the hotel located near the highway, which is nice since you can't hear it, I had several Uber drivers ask why we picked a hotel in such an unsafe part of town. Apparently there is a lot of drug activity and you shouldn't walk around on your own at night. Ok. The hotel does have keyed entry after hours and I never felt UNSAFE, but just be smart people.
All in all, an enjoyable stay.
