I made the mistake of purchasing a timeshare from WorldMark by Trendwest in 2002. I financed it at an high interest rate of 13% and I paid off the balance four years later from an inheritance. Although I have enjoyed my 6000 points and all of the resorts except for a terrible one in Puerto Rico, I have made the mistake of going to owner information workshops four or five times. Yesterday was the worst, where I was bullied, belittled, and threatened since I did not want to pay $35,000 more to WorldMark by Wyndham to update my benefits. This was definitely the worst experience of all and I was actually threatened to the grave that my heir would be stuck with this timeshare. Now I plan on seeking legal advice to try to get out of the obligation I have, since there may be a day I will not be able to travel and I will eventually die. I will never go to another information meeting. Wyndham is a fraudulent company. Do not stay at their properties in Vegas either on a daily rental. They are dirty and in a horrible state of repair.
