  • This is a definite Bucket List item! It was on my Uncle Harry's bucket list to do this flight into the Grand Canyon, which he had never seen before. I'll always remember the tears in his eyes when we crested over this Wonder of the World. Four of our family went on the flight, including my partner who had never seen the GC either. All of us consider it the highlight of our trip to Vegas. We flew over Las Vegas, the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, the Grand Canyon, the back country of LV, and then returned over the Strip. It really gave you a sense of the landscape and the incredible colors of the geologic formations in the area. It reminded me of being in a flying dream. The grandeur of the canyon and its massive proportions are never more clear than from this angle. Our pilot, Mark, was excellent. As an instructor, he took the time to show us some of the technical aspects of flying a chopper. Wow, it is much more tricky than it looks and requires a lot of finesse and multi-tasking. We felt totally safe and it easily and comfortable held all 7 of us. The helicopter has comfortable leather seats and lots of windows so you can see from everywhere, even the back where I was. You get a noise-cancelling headset where you can communicate with the others and listen to your pilot's playlist. Mark had a killer playlist that really made the most of the landscape. Save some of that money you were going to give the casinos, and go on this trip. It's a sure bet you will get your money's worth and a lot more!
