This is by far a bitter sweet experience. The building/facility is new and updated. Has a very Euro feel to it. Staff is extremely friendly and helpful! As far as cleanliness...well, I'm pretty sure housekeeping just does a quick trash disposal and they make the bed.
I checked in, late in the evening and when I got to my room there was hair in my shower, on my bathroom mirror and the rooms carpet had debris on it. By the fridge there was crumbs and debris as well. I was so tired I made sure the sheets were clean, decided to sleep on it (pun intended) and figure it out the next day. The next day I requested a room change which the friendly staff immediately accommodated. Once I got up to the "new" room its apparent what is going on...their vacuum is broken or they don't have one because this "new" rooms carpet was full of debris. No hair though this time!!! The tile at the entrance was dirty as well. I decided to stick it out since I have flip flops (not that I would go barefoot anywhere else than home) and this will be my first and last time here.
Such a great hotel, but their cleanliness is not up to par.
FYI I've worked in the hospitality business, so i know what a clean hotel room should look like, not being picky or anything like that.
