| - My foodie best friend and I visited Cure as a birthday celebration and were not disappointed. The cocktails were STRONG...but I'm not a connosieur of whiskey or bourbon, so I can't really rate them on taste. Presentation however..spectacular. We arrived for a 7:00 reservation and were seated promptly. It was a packed house, but our waitress was very attentive and we didn't feel crowded or rushed at all. We ordered the small salumi appetizer as well as the mesclun salad, and both were delicious. The mesclun salad was by far our favorite, with the roasted beets, whipped chevre and peanut brittle, it was a unique change of pace from the typical summer salad. We split the main entrée "gluttony of pork" and used words like "wow" "what is this?" and "OMG" after every bite. The flavors were amazing, the pork was prepared perfectly, and it was just delicious. To complete our dining experience we tried the dark chocolate cake and the cheese plate. The dark chocolate cake was delicious, but not that original really, and the same goes for the cheese plate. Both were delicious, but not necessary for a great experience. I'd go back in a heartbeat, and am thrilled to have a restaurant like Cure to provide different culinary experiences for adventurous Pittsburghers!
