rev:text	Based on reviews, I decided to use my WaySpa gift certificate here last year for a pedicure which left me with quite a substantial balance which of course had to be used up at Vibe Spa. The first pedicure was good so I made an appointment for a second pedicure. The evening before my appointment, I received a call from the spa owner asking if I could move my appointment back a half hour - I let her know that I couldn't as that would make it too tight for me to get to my following appointment. She seemed to understand. When I arrived for my appointment the following morning, she moved me into the pedicure chair and brought out a foot soak for me...well, 30 minutes of soaking my feet was a bit excessive but I suppose her scheduling had now worked out according to her plan. I was quite annoyed throughout the pedicure and expressed my concern to the owner when checking out. The owner then apologized and offered to comp the treatment. I didn't want her to think that was the reason for me expressing my frustration so I insisted on paying - she offered to not charge me the tax (a bit of a downgrade from a complimentary treatment!) but I took it. I have been dreading returning to Vibe spa but with a $97 credit still remaining, I made an appointment with their female RMT... unprofessional, insincere, and does not comply with the standards of the College of Massage Therapists of Ontario. She didn't even bother introducing herself or asking my name, there was no consent obtained (verbal or written), no health intake whatsoever, and she used a pillow beneath my head that was not covered and obviously used repeatedly with different clients. To top it off, she questioned the validity of my gift certificate (of which the owner herself declared had no expiry date) when I asked her for a receipt for insurance. I had to wait while she called the owner/manager - she didn't even explain anything to me but just let me standing there while she went into the other room to phone the manager. I am so glad I don't have any credit remaining to be used at Vibe Spa and will NEVER return there. To anyone considering this spa, let me urge you to reconsider - there are plenty of better facilities and service out there!
