I popped in as a walk-in looking for a flattop, which I have gotten for years and years. I waited 10-15 minutes, which was no big deal at all. My first first impression was the shop was very nice and very clean and busy, which is a good sign. The first thing I did was show the barber a colored screen shot picture of the military style flattop I get so there was no question what I wanted. He did not say he could not do my old school flattop and he knew exactly what I wanted. He was friendly and cordiale but when he finished and asked if I liked it I looked at it and said it was not flat but like a standard rounded buzz cut trim job. He stated, " Shorter, corse hair is much easier to cut than your thin hair." He was referring to my hair as a Caucasian. I was not happy but I still tipped the barber $5.00 and paid the $22.00 charge for my simple trim buzz cut I could have done myself for free. This is a nice shop and my barber was conversational but they obviously cater to a certain clientel and can't cut a caucasian flattop (evidence is in the poor results and the comment by my barber). That was my first and last trip there.
