Barrio Cafe is every bit as good as the 981 previous reviewers said it is! I am going to keep this review a little shorter than most of mine... because, well, there are 981 other reviews that this is similar to.
I started out with the Chata, a delectable combination of Agua de Horchata, Crema 1921 Tequila and Kahlua. Yum... and very strong! If there was more room in the front bar area and some better music to dance to, then you can be sure I'd have been cuttin' a rug after that drink. The drink is highly recommended. Hanging out in the overly crowded bar area is not so highly recommended... but it's what you expect at a popular ristorante like Barrio Cafe.
I was seated shortly thereafter... and ordered the Cochinita Pibil. Cochinita Pibil is a house special -- pork marinated in achiote and sour orange, wrapped in a banana leaf and slow roasted over night, topped with pickled red onion and Yucatán-style pico de gallo. !Excelente!
I was not wowed with the service that night... but otherwise, it was a wonderful meal.
