DO NOT GO HERE FOR SHELLAC OR CUSTOMER SERVICE. If you want real technicians who really know how to do shellac, go on the cnd website and look for a salon in your area. I'll be trying out Ritual or Tips. Although I usually have not had such major problems with an "unlicensed" Shellac manicure.
Within one week my nails were chipping and peeling off, actually within 5 days. Even with my love/hate affair with Urban Nails the longest they lasted was 1.5 weeks and chipped ever so slightly within 2 days. And UN has better customer service.
Trying to get my money back for such abysmal service was like pulling teeth. I had to repeat several times all I wanted was the nail polish removed (that story is the next paragraph) and my money back for the shellac manicure because my pedicure was fine. The manager who magically appeared after two "technicians" told me she wasn't there when I asked, only credited me back $28. I should've been credited back $40. She did not include the tip in her calculations. Of course I want my tip back! She actually gave me $30, did some math and took it back in exchange for $28. I told her I'd come back with my debit card statement since I threw out the receipt and she just sneered at me.
Getting my shellac off was kind of a nightmare. I should've just removed it myself. The "technician" soaked my fingers in the nail polish remover, that's a big no-no for shellac. Then she SCRAPED it off, ruining my usually shiny nail coat. Then filed my nails down significantly shorter.
As I told the mysteriously appearing manager, I work hard for my money too.
