| - I visited this bridal boutique since my parents live in Oakville and I also know that one of the owners went to my high school. One of my friends said that she got her wedding dress here, so I thought I'd give it a try for bridesmaids dresses. This was the first bridal shop that I went to looking for bridesmaids dresses. My mom, sister and I arrived on a Saturday afternoon and it was pretty busy. We got no greeting coming into the store because all the salespeople were busy, no biggie. We started looking at the bridesmaid dresses selection and were completely ignored the entire time. A salesperson was sifting through dresses right beside us to pull one for her client and didn't bother to even acknowledge we were there. I felt invisible and completely unwelcome, and it wasn't only me. My mom and sister agreed that the customer service was horrible. We couldn't look at the bridesmaids catalogues because a group of girls were looking at it, saw that we were interested and continued to flip through the books while chatting to each other.
We felt completely neglected. After about 20 minutes of absolutely no help or any sales person saying that they could help us in a few minutes, I decided I did not want to find bridesmaid dresses at this store. Sure I get that the sales people might have been busy, but a simple 'I can help you in a few moments' would have been enough to feel like we were at least semi-attended to. We got to the door, put on our boots and were about to leave, when we got our first 'Do you need help with anything?'. Let's see, we are heading out the door, does it really look like we need your help NOW?? Sure the salesperson was being nice now, since a potential sale was about to exit the store. It was too little, too late.
I will be having 4 bridesmaids and one maid of honour in my bridal party and if they are each going to be dropping about $200 on a dress, the boutique could have made a nice sale. I definitely will not be returning on another occasion with my bridesmaids in hopes of proper customer service. I'd rather shop somewhere where the shop appreciates a potential customer.
An awful experience to start off bridesmaid dress shopping.
