  • the sales side gets five stars actually...the subtraction of a star is because i havent always been totally thrilled with the service side. it's been ok, just not stellar. i went in last fall to look at the audi tt. i met sal the salesguy, who is great and who i still keep in touch with. i test drove the tt and liked it. sal did his job, and managed to convince me that i didnt want the tt, or the higher end tts, but actually wanted the highest model tt-rs. i'm not a patient person, and the kicker was that i'd have to wait an unknown amount of time because that model was hard to come by. i basically told sal that if he could find me a car in a few weeks (and this was approaching thanksgiving), i would go for it...otherwise i'd resort to a lower model. sal did his job and found me the car, albeit not in my first choice of color. when it came time to pick the car up, i warned him that i hated the long drawn out paperwork phase of car buying, especially because i was not financing. when i got there, the paperwork was ready to go and i think it took me five minutes...ok, maybe ten, but it went as quickly as it could have. a few weeks later, my bf needed a car and had decided that he wanted the new hyundai or a rav4 or a smartcar. we went and looked at the hyundai and smartcar, but to be honest, the dealerships just made me irritated and the cars felt super cheap. while standing at the hyundai place, i called sal and told him what we were doing...and of course he said we should go down and see what they had before buying one of those other cars. we did, and we came out with a lovely and very lightly used a5. more expensive than a hundai, of course. but its like comparing apples to oranges, its a totally different animal. so now we have 2 audis in the garage and we both like them very much. i suspect it will be a while before we need another new vehicle, but if you are contemplating audis even a little bit, head down and ask for sal. you'll be pleasantly surprised and glad that you did.
