I agree with Yael - I think the therapist was okay. However, I was deeply troubled by the billing staff. When I handed my insurance card to them I was promptly told they do not accept my insurance. After explaining that I had called and been told very specifically by my insurance company that PIllar is in network for for me they agreed to call and verify. They called my insurance company only to to told that yes, we are covered. Despite being told that my coverage was 100%, they insisted on collecting payment after speaking with the owner. I find this deeply troubling and was incredibly disappointed at the major lack of professionalism on the office staff's part. I could hear the entire conversation that was had with my insurance company and between the staff. I was dumbfounded how a staff member in an office that is there to help children could treat each other so poorly, with a lack of compassion and understanding. This is not the type of place I would like my child to receive therapy. I feel for the employees of this business who are forced to go after the almighty dollar rather than working with their clientele in an understanding and empathetic way.
