I'm not a jewelry guy, and can honestly say jewelry stores annoy the crap outta me. I'm happy to spend any amount for my lovely wife, and next to nothing for myself. As a result I had a miserable little wedding band that I tortured for over 20 years. Eventually it looked uglier than me, and that says it all. So one day the miserable little ring ran away, and in need of a replacement, we stumbled upon an artist at the Tempe Art Fair and I bought another miserable, albeit interesting, slightly more substantial ring. Then I found my original miserable little wedding ring hiding in a dark corner of the house. I vowed right then & there the vicious cycle of miserly ring hating was to end. I would turn my miserable little ring into a thing of beauty & comfort. Enter Patrick Burt. His web site reeled me in like a carp. I knew I didn't want a jewelry 'store' - I needed local honest artistry. No bling - pure form & function. This is the guy. On my second visit I put Patrick to the true tensile test, I brought my wife. Pickiest human being on planet earth. They chatted like family (the kind that like each other). What a great experience. Hurray for the old school artist and casual no frills atmosphere. His prices are more than reasonable. What a talent, what a great guy. Just wish Patrick made cars & trucks.
