  • I love going to Rose & Crown when in Calgary. I love a good fish and chips and they truly deliver with their Tankhouse Fish N' Chips. Made with Haddock it's a Tasty change from the usual cod. It always arrived steaming hot with a crispy golden brown coating. Throw is a few shots of malt vinegar couple with the tasty chips, cole slaw and a Rickards Red and I've entered nirvana. On the rare occasion I'll opt for the Bison Sheppard's Pie, almost as good as the fish. Great selection of beer and at times super good live entertainment. Décor is very old school classic pub, super cool. The place at time overflows with typical friendly Calgary crowed, yes that's a plus. Why only 4 stars, I've found that most of the other dishes while good don't come close to living up to the two dishes above. Remember Crown & Rose when craving fish and chips and beer.
